2010 Super Bowl Event and Party Guide
Celebrity favorites and an array of music and nightlife entertainment will line the coast of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach in celebration of Super Bowl XLIV and Floridians are sure to get cranked up for the Colts and the Saints. Here is a lineup of just a few of Miami's tributes to the big game:
Saturday February 6, 2010:
- The 23rd Annual Super Bowl Breakfast will kickoff the weekend of festivities with the presentation of the Bart Starr award to the team member of the NFL who personifies a well-rounded demeanor including community service as well as dedication to family and education. Baltimore Ravens Head Coach Jim Harbaugh will appear as the guest of honor and master of ceremonies. The exclusive event begins at 8:00 a.m. and will be held at The Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa.
- The 2010 DIRECTV 4th Annual Celebrity
Beach Bowl will command
control of South
Beach beginning at
1:30 p.m. and will host a veritable who's who of the entertainment
industry. Beachgoers are welcome to
join in the action for free and will certainly gear up for the next day's
game in a carefree game of flag football on the white sands of Miami Beach. Football notables such as Reggie Bush
and Eli Manning have coached teams in past years and the closing act will
feature the All-American Rejects for a free, live concert set.
- The 4th Annual Saturday Night Spectacular serves as the crown-jewel of Miami's Super Bowl extravaganza. Actors of stage and screen will be in attendence along with icons Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy serving as master and mistress of ceremonies. Located at the illustrious Bank of America Tower at International Place, a full-service open bar along with dueling games of celebrity-studded poker, Miami's elite will each have the possibility of winning the "Big Kahuna Poker Title" with $10,000 attached. Sushi and a deluxe selection of hors d'oeuvres will be provided by restaurateur Michael Chow.
Sunday February 7, 2010:
- Finnegans's Riverwill host
Snookie from MTV's Jersey Shore for a night of game watching. The
event is free until 6:00 p.m. and is sponsored by Coors.
- At the Hard Rock Café in Downtown Miami, Super Bowl fans with some extra cash can join in for a live auction at 1:00 p.m. for a chance to own some of their favorite Super Bowl jerseys and other historic NFL memorabilia.
