Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, SpaceMiami remains the pinnacle of American nightlife and dance culture. Creative club genius Louis Puig opened the original warehouse-style venue under the name of Club Space in the early 1990's, gambling on reviving the scene of Miami's low-rent Downtown through the institution of state-of-the-art technical lighting design as well as never before used sound equipment certain to attract a diverse and cross-cultural crowd. Puig not only conceived a Renaissance of the Miami circuit scene, his direct and vigorous marketing campaigns for Club Space set the tone for the rebirth of the rave culture across the country, stimulating a mass influx of club-goers to the once desolate Miami Downtown. Trance artists and house DJ's ranging from classic superstars Edgar V to Danny Tenaglia set worldwide records for playing twenty-hour sets, ushering in a new craze of weekend long parties from Miami to Los Angeles.
Punctuating a lifestyle and brand rather than simply a nightclub, Club Space transitioned from the old warehouse style venue to a three story complex infused with room-to-room variations of music and effect. Underlining its epic move, Club Space became SpaceMiami, celebrating its decade of success by revamping the culture of the late 90s into a post-modern epic of dance and 24-hour nightlife cultivation. The City of Miami recognized the club for drawing large-scale crowds and world-famous DJ's back to the Downtown area and club enthusiasts even pitched the idea to give NE 11th Street the title of "Louis Puig Boulevard." Expressive of the desire to host Miami's elite and illustrative of the beachside culture, Puig offers an outdoor rooftop venue, shaded with native palm trees to soften the rising sun as the DJ's spin into the early afternoon hours. One of the first venues to boast a 24-hour operating license, SpaceMiami specializes in unique transitions from hard industrial beats under the midnight moon to progressive hypnotic effects as the morning creeps up above Biscayne Bay.

SpaceMiami has remained a steadfast destination for international ravers,
surpassing many of its contemporaries in longevity and imagination. The flexibility and creativity of Puig and
his rotating array of legendary DJ's has allowed Space to attract thousands of
guests every night, promoting enormously successful events on New Year's and
Christmas Eve.
Beginning on Saturday February 6, 2010, Space will be the epicenter of Super Bowl hysteria with the launch of Space Bowl 2010: Crosstown Rebels vs. Space Residents. Saints and Colts fans who present Space's online flyer at the door before 1:00 a.m. will receive complimentary admission as well as an open bar in celebration of a multi-set of DJ's while partying in Miami's most exclusive venue. Reservations are suggested to avoid a nightlong line at the door and can be made on Space's website in advance.
